ENTRE LO TERRENAL Y GALACTICO A TRAVES DEL BLACK METAL

Regreso del brillante proyecto one man band del austriaco Andreas Krempler, multiinstrumentista y cerebro de Heidnir. Conocido también por ser el baterista de la banda de Black Metal Synkende, lo cual explica la precisión rítmica que posee. He tenido el lujo de poder charlar en ocasiones con este magnifico compositor que quiere permanecer en el underground.

Krempler lanzó su álbum debut "Von Nächtlichen Erinnerungen" en 2018 con un sonido crudo y directo que te hacían viajar a través de los bosques austriacos en pleno invierno. Un álbum cargado de melancolía y voces guturales acercándose mas al Death y Doom metal en algunos pasajes influenciado por el Black´n´Roll y con temas pegadizos. Un álbum autoproducido y un "tesoro oculto" comparándolo con los primeros trabajos de bandas como Immortal pero con un toque mas introspectivo y nihilista.

MAS ALLÁ DEL COSMOS

En 2022 publica "Jenseits Des Kosmos" y mi descubrimiento lo etiqueté como "estelar". Heidnir dejaba atrás la temática forestal y nocturna para adentrarse en la inmensidad del universo, el misticismo y las estrellas. Ritmos hipnóticos  y el uso de sintetizadores con temas de largos minutos "Fremde Kosmen", "Zu Den Sternen" de mas de 7 minutos conducían  al oyente hacia una belleza casi celestial, una atmósfera espacial, casi de trance con la agresividad del Black Metal llamando la atención de sellos mas grandes expandiéndose como las nebulosas.

VIAJE HIPNOTICO Y BAILE CÓSMICO

Este tercer álbum es la evolución natural de sus anteriores trabajos manteniendo esa crudeza épica pero con una producción mucho mas pulida, "Der Kosmische Tanz".Explora la melancolía en un portal hacia el abismo. Una representación de una "danza cósmica" donde la vida se consume y solo quedan los huesos de la eternidad.

La voz suena como un eco desgarrador y distante para el inicio de este viaje en el tema de apertura "Dunkle Schwingen" con un magnifico Black Metal atmosférico e hipnótico en esa transición al abismo abriendo un portal. A partir de aquí, comienza la verdadera invocación con el homónimo "Der Kosmische Tanz". Una montaña rusa de emociones frías, insignificancia humana en el ciclo de la muerte y renacimiento estelar caótico.

EL COSMOS, EL FUEGO, LOS DEMONIOS Y EL SILENCIO

Orgánico y ritualista acariciando el polvo estelar en una producción limpia y brillante donde la bestia emerge abrazando la ferocidad mas terrenal y demoniaca, Heidnir recuerda que este viaje sigue siendo Black Metal. El "caos de los mil demonios" en el tema "Tausend Teufel". Superposición de voces y gritos en la parte mas visceral del álbum, con una producción cruda e influenciado por la música folk y neoclasicista, desata "el pacto diabolico" es una entrega a la inmensidad del vacío en el tema "Der Teuflische Pakt" .  ¿Acaso el ser humano no es insignificante ante la hermosura y danza de los astros?.

La genialidad de Heidnir reside  en su capacidad de equilibrio recordándonos que el firmamento no son sólo hay estrellas y silencio, sino que hay una fuerza demoniaca destructiva. Somos parte de esa coreografía violenta elegante y existencial "Sohn Des Feuers" o los hijos del fuego. Todo se reduce a cenizas. El tema mas épico y melódico sin perder esa crudeza del proyecto del austriaco. Sientes la influencia del Pagan Black Metal y la conexión con el vacío.

El jinete de las estrellas "Sternenreiter" cabalga bajo una soledad absoluta donde el espíritu se fusiona con las estrellas. Majestuoso tema gélido, melódico, frío donde el protagonista acepta que es polvo de estrellas y decide vender su humanidad para convertirse en pura energía.

LA ALQUIMIA

El manto que envuelve la oscuridad apaga el fuego, hay silencio, profundidad y la hija de la noche "Tochter Der Nacht" regresa con sonidos atmosfericos, lentos, pesados acariciando los teclados creando una neblina sonora envolvente, el vacio permanece en esta clausura.

BETWEEN THE TERRESTRIAL AND THE GALACTIC THROUGH BLACK METAL

Return of the brilliant one-man band project by Austrian Andreas Krempler, multi-instrumentalist and mastermind behind Heidnir. Also known for being the drummer of the Black Metal band Synkende, which explains his rhythmic precision. I’ve had the luxury of chatting on occasion with this magnificent composer who wishes to remain in the underground.

Krempler released his debut album "Von Nächtlichen Erinnerungen" in 2018 with a raw and direct sound that made you travel through Austrian forests in the middle of winter. An album full of melancholy and guttural vocals, leaning closer to Death and Doom metal in some passages, influenced by Black’n’Roll and with catchy tracks. A self-produced album and a “hidden gem,” comparable to the early works of bands like Immortal but with a more introspective and nihilistic touch.

BEYOND THE COSMOS

In 2022 he released "Jenseits Des Kosmos," and I labeled my discovery as “stellar.” Heidnir left behind the forest and nocturnal themes to venture into the vastness of the universe, mysticism, and the stars. Hypnotic rhythms and the use of synthesizers with long tracks like "Fremde Kosmen" and "Zu Den Sternen," both over 7 minutes long, led the listener toward an almost celestial beauty—a spatial atmosphere, almost trance-like, with the aggression of Black Metal catching the attention of larger labels and expanding like nebulae.

HYPNOTIC JOURNEY AND COSMIC DANCE

This third album is the natural evolution of his previous works, maintaining that epic rawness but with a much more polished production, "Der Kosmische Tanz." It explores melancholy as a portal into the abyss. A representation of a “cosmic dance” where life is consumed and only the bones of eternity remain.

The voice sounds like a tearing, distant echo at the start of this journey in the opening track "Dunkle Schwingen," with magnificent atmospheric and hypnotic Black Metal in that transition into the abyss, opening a portal. From here, the true invocation begins with the self-titled "Der Kosmische Tanz." A rollercoaster of cold emotions, human insignificance in the cycle of death and chaotic stellar rebirth.

THE COSMOS, FIRE, DEMONS, AND SILENCE

Organic and ritualistic, caressing stardust in a clean and brilliant production where the beast emerges, embracing the most earthly and demonic ferocity, Heidnir reminds us that this journey is still Black Metal. The “chaos of a thousand demons” in the track "Tausend Teufel." Layered voices and screams in the most visceral part of the album, with a raw production influenced by folk and neoclassical music, unleashes “the diabolical pact,” a surrender to the immensity of the void in the track "Der Teuflische Pakt." Isn’t the human being insignificant before the beauty and dance of the stars?

Heidnir’s genius lies in his balance, reminding us that the firmament is not only stars and silence, but also a destructive demonic force. We are part of that elegant, violent, and existential choreography—"Sohn Des Feuers" or the sons of fire. Everything is reduced to ashes. The most epic and melodic track without losing the rawness of the Austrian’s project. You feel the influence of Pagan Black Metal and the connection with the void.

The rider of the stars, "Sternenreiter," rides under absolute solitude where the spirit merges with the stars. A majestic, icy, melodic, cold track where the protagonist accepts he is stardust and decides to sell his humanity to become pure energy.

ALCHEMY

The mantle that envelops darkness extinguishes the fire; there is silence, depth, and the daughter of the night "Tochter Der Nacht" returns with atmospheric, slow, heavy sounds, caressing the keyboards, creating an enveloping sonic fog—the void remains in this closure.
