                URAGH "TEMPEST/ WISP"

Edificados dentro del metal progresivo, atmosférico y groove metal y formados en 2022, han sabido construir una identidad propia inspirándose en letras que giran alrededor del poder y opresión, violencia y destrucción, naturaleza y océano. Una banda que utiliza metáforas e imágenes en sus temas principales.

 EVOLUCION DE LOS IRLANDESES

 Un paso gigante fue su álbum debut en 2024  llamado "Maelstrom"  (la propia existencia humana convertida en una fuerza que nos arrastra) cuya madurez se reflejaba en la incorporaciones de sonidos influenciados como una corriente marina de metal alternativo, mathcore, groove metal o como ellos mismos se definen: metal progresivo. Naufragios, oscuridad y criaturas bajo la superficie, fue la carta de presentación definitiva de la banda entorno al caos emocional construyendo temas largos y muy trabajados. Ese mismo año representaron a Irlanda en Wacken Open Air tras ganar la Waken Metal Battle Ireland 2024. 

"Stalemate"  su EP de 2025, endureció aun más su propuesta sin perder esa parte progresiva con una ejecución técnica impecable con cuatro temas magnificos, cuya tematica aborda el aislamiento o el deterioro psicológico y como todo eso determina nuestra existencia.

LA TORMENTA QUE SE CONVIERTE EN NIEBLA

El ultimo y magnifico trabajo de los irlandeses autoproducido "Tempest/ Wisp" se publica como un doble sencillo (Double A-Side), mostrando dos caras opuestas a su sonido, con una de las colaboraciones más destacadas como es la de la violochentista Anaïs Chareyre-Méjan de la banda de post Black Metal de Belfast Domhain, aportando un contraste melódico  y espectacularmente bello.

"TEMPEST" . LA TORMENTA

Representa su faceta mas extrema, pesado y denso, moviéndose entre el metal progresivo y el metal moderno con constantes cambios impredecibles de la mano de su tremendo vocalista Graig Murphy alternando registros desgarradores y agresivos, en un tema sobre la destrucción interna, el colapso emocional y el proceso de la transformación personal.  Anaïs aporta un increíble contraste junto al vocalista y letrista Craig Murphy totalmente técnico, agresivo y progresivo.

"WISP" . LA NIEBLA.

Llega el verdadero cambio influenciado por la voz en francés de Anaïs aportando melancolía y sonidos etéreos junto al violonchelo. Con cierta complejidad compositiva nos conduce y envuelve en un viaje a través de la bruma del océano. Sonidos oscuros, contemplativos de post metal y post rock. Brutalidad técnica y emoción, dos extremos que se entrelazan en dos temas brillantes y  en dos mundos. Fuerza y fragilidad para una banda que se expande con notas folk.

Un cuarteto que no se quiere encasillar, pero si experimentar. Un cuarteto que juega con agresividad, momentos atmosféricos y melancólicos únicos.

Built within the progressive, atmospheric, and groove metal genres and formed in 2022, they have forged their own identity, drawing inspiration from lyrics that revolve around power and oppression, violence and destruction, nature and the ocean. A band that uses metaphors and imagery in their main themes. THE IRISH EVOLUTION A giant leap forward was their 2024 debut album, "Maelstrom" (human existence itself transformed into a force that sweeps us away), whose maturity was reflected in the incorporation of sounds influenced by a current of alternative metal, mathcore, groove metal, or as they themselves define it: progressive metal. Shipwrecks, darkness, and creatures lurking beneath the surface were the band's definitive introduction, centered around emotional chaos, resulting in long and meticulously crafted tracks. That same year, they represented Ireland at Wacken Open Air after winning the Wacken Metal Battle Ireland 2024. "Stalemate," their 2025 EP, further intensified their sound without losing its progressive edge, featuring impeccable technical execution and four magnificent tracks whose themes address isolation and psychological deterioration and how these shape our existence. THE STORM THAT TURNS INTO FOG The Irish band's magnificent latest self-produced work, "Tempest/Wisp," is released as a double A-side single, showcasing two contrasting sides of their sound. One of their most notable collaborations is with cellist Anaïs Chareyre-Méjan of the Belfast post-black metal band Domhain, providing a melodic and spectacularly beautiful contrast. "TEMPEST" THE STORM This track represents their most extreme, heavy, and dense side, moving between progressive and modern metal with constant, unpredictable shifts thanks to their tremendous vocalist, Craig Murphy, alternating between harrowing and aggressive registers. It's a song about inner destruction, emotional collapse, and the process of personal transformation. Anaïs provides an incredible contrast alongside the vocalist and lyricist Craig Murphy, who is entirely technical, aggressive, and progressive. "WISP" THE MIST The real change arrives, influenced by Anaïs's French vocals, which contribute melancholy and ethereal sounds alongside the cello. With a certain compositional complexity, it guides and envelops us on a journey through the ocean mist. Dark, contemplative sounds of post-metal and post-rock. Technical brutality and emotion, two extremes that intertwine in two brilliant tracks and two distinct worlds. Strength and fragility for a band that's expanding. A quartet that refuses to be pigeonholed, but rather wants to experiment. A quartet that plays with aggression, atmospheric moments, and unique melancholic undertones.
