La música es atemporal y como muestra, el dúo de Cartago (Túnez) , formado en 2022 nos dejaba una autentica en el mes de mayo del año pasado como proyecto debut liderada por Yasser Mahammedi Bouzina quien no solo es el vocalista y guitarrista , sino el cerebro detrás del concepto lirico y compositivo.

Ellos mismo se definen como una mezcolanza de black atmosférico, heavy y groove metal explorando con sus letras la muerte, la literatura clásica y sobre todo esa parte de ficción entre lo desconocido y el terror. Un espectáculo sonoro.

Su álbum debut "Dark Matter Manifesto" no es solo un álbum de metal, es un "rito sónico", una joya  y una exploración del horror cósmico y  decadencia existencial. Un medio de canalizacion de una profunda ira dejando patente esa influencia de la banda Celtic Frost. Ellos cuentan: " Miramos fijamente el vertigo. Dar palabras y forma a sensaciones, emociones e ideas difíciles de expresar o verbalizar"

Corto e intenso, crudo pero moderno de atmosferas hipnóticas en estos 30 minutos en los que la opresión y el vacío te engullen ."Profondo Nero" es la introducción cinematográfica de ese cine italiano de terror. Sonido pulido pero orgánico en los temas rozando el metal gótico en "Mater Lacrimarum", un tema de dolor y duelo para centrarse en las exquisita colaboración del vocalista griego Sakis Tolis de la banda Rotting Christ en el tema ritualistico "Sowing Discord", entrelazando las dos voces de manera épica. Es un himno demoniaco que mezcla la mística griega con la oscuridad tunecina.

La pieza central y mas ambiciosa "Iconoclast" hace referencia a la iconoclasia: la destrucción de imágenes o dogmas religiosas. Un ataque directo al poder religioso. Un grito de libertad y pensamiento critico. Un tema groove deslizándose hacia el death y el black metal en todo momento creando una atmosfera final y frenética.

Hay un artista del que hemos hablado en otra reseña, la de los brillantes italianos Antiquus Infestus (y sabemos de la hermandad entre ambas bandas),  se trata del francés Maxime Taccardi y el el álbum de los tunecinos colabora aportando sus gritos agónicos al tema "Din Of Thy Celestial Birds" creando esa sensación de caos celestial llegando a ser una pieza de performance sonora. Se dice que durante al grabación de sus partes, Máxime grabo en su propio estudio buscando ese sonido de "tumba". 

"Dark Matter Manifesto" es un álbum de horror cósmico y rebelión que posiciona a Primordial Black como una de las voces más interesantes del metal actual manteniendo ese perfil envuelto en misterio.

Music is timeless, and as an example, the duo from Carthage (Tunisia), formed in 2022, gave us an authentic work last May as their debut project, led by Yasser Mahammedi Bouzina, who is not only the vocalist and guitarist but also the mind behind the lyrical and compositional concept.

They describe themselves as a mix of atmospheric black, heavy, and groove metal, exploring death, classical literature, and above all that fictional space between the unknown and horror with their lyrics.

Their debut album, "Dark Matter Manifesto," is not just a metal album; it is a "sonic rite," a gem, and an exploration of cosmic horror and existential decay. A medium for channeling deep anger, making clear the influence of the band Celtic Frost. They say: "We stare directly into the abyss. Giving words and form to feelings, emotions, and ideas that are difficult to express or verbalize."

"Profondo Nero" is the cinematic introduction to that Italian horror cinema. Polished yet organic sound in the tracks brushing up against gothic metal in "Mater Lacrimarum," a track of pain and mourning, focusing on the exquisite collaboration of Greek vocalist Sakis Tolis from the band Rotting Christ in the ritualistic track "Sowing Discord," intertwining the two voices in an epic manner. It is a demonic anthem that blends Greek mysticism with Tunisian darkness. The central and most ambitious piece, "Iconoclast," refers to iconoclasm: the destruction of images or religious dogmas.

A direct attack on religious power. A shout for freedom and critical thinking. A groove track sliding into death and black metal at every moment, creating a final and frenzied atmosphere.

There is an artist we have mentioned in another review, that of the brilliant Italian band Antiquus Infestus (and we know of the brotherhood between both bands), it is the French Maxime Taccardi contributing his agonizing screams to the track "Din Of Thy Celestial Birds," creating that sensation of celestial chaos and turning it into a piece of sonic performance. It is said that during the recording of his parts, Maxime recorded in his own studio seeking that "tomb" sound. "Dark Matter Manifesto" is an album of cosmic horror and rebellion that positions Primordial Black as one of the most interesting voices in current metal, maintaining that profile shrouded in mystery.
